Terms of Sale

Jou Ceramic is a small ceramics studio based in Houston, Texas.
Each piece is imagined, shaped, glazed, and finished by hand in small batches. Subtle variations in shape, color, and texture are part of the handmade process and make every piece unique.

1. Products
All products are described as accurately as possible.
Due to their handmade nature, no two pieces are exactly identical. Slight variations may occur and are part of their uniqueness.
Photos are non-contractual and may vary slightly depending on lighting and screen display.

2. Orders
Orders are processed once payment is confirmed.
Jou Ceramic reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order at its discretion, including in cases of suspected fraud, dispute, or exceptional circumstances.

3. Pricing
All prices are listed in USD.
Jou Ceramic reserves the right to modify its prices at any time, particularly in response to changes in the cost of raw materials, materials, and production conditions.
Taxes and shipping costs are calculated automatically at checkout via Shopify.

4. Shipping
Orders are typically processed within 4–5 business days, unless otherwise specified.
Shipping times may vary depending on the destination. Jou Ceramic is not responsible for delays caused by carriers.
All pieces are carefully packaged to ensure safe delivery.

5. Returns
Due to the handmade nature of the pieces, all sales are final.
However, if your item arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the item and packaging.
Each request will be reviewed, and a replacement or refund may be offered if applicable.

6. Ceramic Care
All pieces are handmade and should be handled with care.
They are dishwasher safe, though hand washing is recommended to preserve their longevity.
Microwave use is not recommended, as it may affect the glaze over time.
Pieces can be used in the oven, provided they are placed in a cold oven and heated gradually. Avoid sudden temperature changes, especially when removing them from the oven.
